Tom Castro: The Man Who Never Was In Wagga Wagga
Now on exhibition at the Museum's Botanic Gardens site.
In 1866, Wagga butcher Tom Castro set in motion one of the greatest cases of disputed identity in modern history.
But who was Tom Castro? Was he really Sir Roger Tichborne who vanished at sea in 1854? Or Arthur Orton, from London's East End? This exhibition at the Museum's Botanic Gardens site showcases the Museum's Tichborne collection, including some new acquisitions.
