National Pollinator Week - Activity Day
The Botanic Gardens is celebrating National Pollinator Week as we explore the fascinating world of plant pollination. Over 75% of the world’s flowering plants are pollinated by insects, but here in Australia our bats also have a special role. Globally pollinator species are under threat - which puts many of our favourite foods at risk.
Join our Education Team to learn about the special relationships between plants and their pollinators, be a citizen scientist and contribute to the seasonal pollinator count, listen to Tim Heard talk about keeping native bees and find out all about bats with the Bat Conservation and Rescue Qld team.
