Joanne Shaw Taylor
It’s been a wild ride for young English guitar sensation Joanne Shaw Taylor - from her discovery at age 16 by Dave Stewart of the Eurhythmics, to her recent appearance with Annie Lennox at The Queen’s Jubilee concert. In that time she’s won best female vocalist at the British Blues Awards twice, toured the globe with the likes of BB King and Joe Bonamassa and released three critically acclaimed albums including 2012’s ‘Almost Always Never’.
In a few short years Shaw Taylor has gone from promising young blues talent to a bona fide force on the international music scene.
She's made big waves locally with two smashing visits to Byron Bay's iconic 'Bluesfest' Festival and in February 2013 Joanne will embark on her first national tour, backed by her all-star Australian band featuring members of Chain Award-winning Chase The Sun.
