Exhibition: Disruptive Patterns
Camouflage, with its roots in nature and art, is an example of the powerful role patterning plays in visual perception. The same can be said of the sophisticated mark-making techniques found in the abstractions of Kathryn Blumke, the macro-observations of Allyson Reynolds and the optical references by Jemima Wyman. The three artists, with distinct styles, come together to challenge ideas around the purpose of pattern for attention and reinvention.
