Winjeel’s trail is a historically significant walk around Lakeside Pakenham Estate established to celebrate the rich Aboriginal heritage of the land.
This cultural journey starts at Waterford rise and snakes through a 1.5 hectare linear park. Along the walk you will find numerous cultural artefacts that have been found at the site over the years.
The trail is surrounded by native plants, which reflect the aboriginal legacy of the area, and also has signs and a playground which have an indigenous dreamtime influence. Dotted through the park are a number of shelters with barbecues and seats. The trail finishes at Shearwater Drive.
