Wet Tropics - QLD
Queensland's Wet Tropics are a unique forestry area of conservation for all sorts of native wildlife, flora and fauna. The tropics meet all four requirements of a World Heritage Listing, making them one of two heritage listings in Northern QLD.
Covering around 900,000 hectares, the tropics include areas between Townsville and Cooktown. The tropical rainforest presents amazing scenery and the chance to complete any of the 150 walks.
