Melbourne Cricket Ground
The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is a sporting icon in Australia. It is the nation’s largest stadium, and the tenth biggest in the world. The MCG is the home of Australian Rules football with all the season’s biggest matches held at the venue, including the AFL Grand Final.
The Boxing Day test has also become a modern tradition at the MCG, with a cricket test match contested between Australia and a touring national team held at the ground. The ground is easily accessible, as it is just a short walk from the city centre and right nearby Richmond station.
