The Baha’i faith, although having five million adherents, has only seven temples worldwide. One of those unique temples resides on Sydney’s Northern Beaches at Terrey Hills. Built in 1961 and having withstood some of the harshest fire conditions nature has to offer, the nine-sided building, representing the nine major world religions, is a spectacular building.
For Baha’i adherents, the temple is of great cultural and spiritual significance but it is also open to visitors who wish to marvel at the architecture and learn more about a religion which wishes to unify humanity as one family.
173 Mona Vale Rd
Who should attend: All visitors are welcome to the temple.
How to get there: Bus services 196 from Gordon Station and 197 from Macquarie University service the temple area. Parking is available at the temple.
