Melbourne Comedy Festival
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is one of Australia's largest cultural events and is the third largest comedy festival in the world. Ocurring annually in April of each year, the Melbourne Comedy Festival boasts over 360 comedy shows and attracts both local and international comedians. The festival includes a variety of stand-up comedy, sketch shows, plays, improvisational comedy, street performance, cabaret and comedic debates.
Traditionally held centred around the Melbourne Town Hall, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival is now celebrated around all of Melbourne with many venues across the city taking part.
