Save Live Australia's Music

Love live music? Sick of local venues closing down? Make your voice heard and support SLAM Day 2013.

Early in 2010 Save Live Australia’s Music (SLAM) held a rally in Melbourne to protest and raise awareness about the damaging and unfair Victorian Liqour Licensing policies linking live music to risk activity.

SLAM’s diligent lobbying and promotion of live music had a huge influence in changing the law in VIC, where live music became recognised in the Objects of the Liqour Licensing Act.

Last year saw the organisation launch its inaugural National SLAM DAY on 23 February aimed at the broader community as an event that celebrates our local musicians and our small gigs. SLAM Day was embraced all around the country. Thousands of musicians and tens of thousands of punters participated.
