Random Acts of Kindness Day

As if you need extra encouragement to help someone out. But here it is – it’s Random Acts of Kindness Day.

This may be the day you actually help that little old lady to cross the street, rescue your neighbour’s cat in a tree, or help a pregnant mum bring the groceries from her car. Unless of course, you already provide such services.

However, for all of those inspired to participate in this feel-good event of the year, the unofficial Random Acts of Kindness Day has arrived, and it doesn’t have to be cliché.

Think flash mobs, giving mega tips, free lawn mowing services, and Haley Joel Osmond in Pay it Forward.

If you’re looking for some inspiration, the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation celebrates Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) for an entire week. Upload and share your own stories on the Random Acts of Kindness website.

Facebook group ‘366 Random Acts of Kindness’ has an idea for every day of the year to get you started. They are also working on a fundraising cookbook with the working title 366 Random Acts of Goodness, inspired by a collection of personal recipes with a good story behind them. To get involved, check out the 366 RAK Facebook page.
