Easter Day

Chocolate eggs, fluffy bunnies, hot cross buns – that’s right it’s that time again, Easter is fast approaching.

But this isn’t just a day for the sweet-tooths (of course, chocolate bunnies are a holiday perk); Easter is a Christian festival marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ and is a day to celebrate new life, peace and forgiveness.

We love to celebrate Easter here in Australia and with countless parties, events and activities held
nationwide there are endless options suitable for the entire family.

From the famous Sydney Royal Easter Show, to special Easter sporting matches, hat parades, music festivals and religious celebrations, there is something for everyone during the festive period.

The holiday officially begins on Good, with a four day long weekend. It's a great time to get together with family and friends to enjoy being together.

But the celebration doesn’t stop there. Events like the Sydney Royal Easter show run for two weeks and are a great place for making life-long memories.

As the holiday falls during the school break, Easter crafts are a big hit with the kids and will keep them occupied for hours.

Have them decorate Easter eggs and construct paper baskets which they can put to good use during a good old fashioned Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday morning.

So whether it is by riding a rollercoaster, playing a game of football or hosting a breakfast, celebrate Easter this year with your friends and family…and don’t forget our very own Aussie Easter symbol; the Chocolate Easter Bilby.
