Description
The Cliffords formed in 1998 in the way most bands do – a few mates at the pub who all played a different instrument. Playing a rockier version of the staple alt-country of the time, an EP ‘Moonlight on the Radio’ was produced by Pete Cicciari (Dan Brodie & The Broken Arrows) in 2002, and received strong airplay around the country.
In the ensuing six years, the band played all the regular haunts around Melbourne to a loyal band of friends, and more importantly, fans. It all ended temporarily when singer/guitar player Mick Bourke travelled overseas for a couple of years in 2006. 2008 sees The Cliffords return to Melbourne with a bunch of new songs, and a hunger for the stage after a 2 year absence.
