I Musici are the oldest continuously active chamber group in Italy and one of the most respected chamber ensembles in existence today. At their first performance in Rome in 1952, I Musici broke all the rules, playing baroque concerti with a tight knit ensemble of just twelve players and no conductor. A year later, their historic first recording of Vivaldi's Four Seasons introduced Italian18th Century music to the world, selling over 25 million copies to become one of the most famous compositions of the entire musical repertoire.

QPAC is thrilled to welcome to the Concert Hall Italy's legendary baroque string ensemble as they celebrate sixty years of vibrant and virtuosic music-making. Paying homage to their musical heritage with works by Italian masters Rossini, Donizetti and Paganini, this will be an unforgettable concert, culminating with their historic and superlative interpretation of Vivaldi's magnificent Four Seasons - unmatched for its vigor, dynamism, sensitivity and sheer muscular energy.
