Brisbane Festival 2012 - The Beast

Brisbane Festival and QUT present
The Beast
20 - 23 September

(Australia)

Acclaimed theatre maker Stuart Bowden brings to life The Beast - a poignant and playful tale accompanied by a live musical soundscape.

This one-man performance unfolds a captivating story about Winslow, a flickering silhouette that everyone calls ‘The Beast’. Entwining beautiful sounds from a ukulele and keyboard, this uplifting tale of loneliness, isolation and hope will touch your heart and then tickle it.

The Beast proceeds Stuart Bowden’s critically acclaimed work The World Holds Everyone Apart, Apart From Us, and the multi-award winning show, The Lounge Room Confabulators.

“Narrative ingenuity and boundless charm…Bowden holds everyone together in silent reverie ★★★★.” Metro (UK).
