The trail winds from Fort Lytton and the Quarantine Station past a myriad of historic buildings and into the oldest areas of Queensland’s capital. This cultural experience is coupled with awe-inspiring views over Moreton Bay.
At the East Coast marina you’ll stumble upon the largest boat harbour facility in the entire Southern Hemisphere. The spectacular Manly Boat Harbour boasts over 3000 boats and is a boat-lovers dream. Wander the docks and view the thousands of boats gently swaying atop pristine waters or relax at a one of the many nearby cafes and enjoy the view over some delectable food.
Walk or cycle through the stunning Bayside Parklands and explore the mangroves, salt marshes, paperbark forests and eucalypt woodlands that stretch down Brisbane’s east for 16 kilometres. Pack some lunch and grab your towel before heading out, as there are many picturesque locations along the way where you can stop for a picnic or a quick dip.
