Looking for a tasting sensation? Try your tastebuds out at Gastro Park. On Friday and Saturday nights they exclusively serve their tasting menus of seven or ten courses. Chef Grant King has created a list of foods both strange and familiar, making for intriguing options which entice the senses. The liquid butternut gnocchi with mushroom consommé walks hand-in-hand with the chocolate, honeycomb and vanilla sphere on the ten course tasting. Pair the meals with wines to make the night even more delicious and relax with the knowledge that everything to hit your table will be mouth-watering.

A Stanmore surprise, Sixpenny houses a great degustation menu. At Sixpenny you can choose between their small and large menus. The small menu includes delicious dishes such as the aged lamb rump with leek and caramelised pumpkin juice. The large menu expands on the original list with a swordfish salad and mascarpone ice cream. Love your stomach at this fabulous restaurant and make the night one to remember.

Tetsuya’s is degustation with a twist. With traditional Japanese influences and the implementation of French technique, this menu is comprehensive and fluid. The set degustation menu is pricey, so be prepared before you go. If you decide to treat yourself, look forward to steamed spanner crab, blue cod, duck breast – to name just a few. The menu is subject to change because, like all the best food, ingredients are fresh.

Nel. is home to a changing menu that alters every six weeks. Leading the way is Chef Nelly Robinson who aims to present modern Australian dinners. Nel. also provides for all of those pesky dietary requitements – all you need to do is notify them as you book, and everyone can enjoy themselves. Sit back relax, and if you love it, head on back there in another six weeks for something different and equally tasty.

Enjoy the five course degustation menu on Friday and Saturday lunchtime or the eight course on Wednesday to Sunday dinner time.
