Fun in the Water in Adelaide
When the weather is ideal, there’s nothing quite like a day out on the water. Adelaide has some great beaches and water parks, but we’ve narrowed down the best for you, so you can get out there and make a splash!
GLENELG BEACH (Glenelg)
Glenelg Beach is one of Adelaide’s favourites. Great for snorkelling, scuba diving and even swimming with dolphins, there’s heaps to do out of the water too! As Australia’s first mainland settlement, there is plenty of history to be discovered, along with lots of fun and activities both in and out of the water. Beachside eateries and shops are in abundance, so you can enjoy the view after a day out on the sand.

THE BEACHOUSE (Glenelg)
Adelaide’s iconic beachside suburb, Glenelg, is home to the Beachouse, the go-to place for some fun in the sun! There’s waterslides and bumper boats and lots of non-water activities when you’re finished drenching yourself, including dodgem cars, mini-golf and arcade games. This family-friendly venue is ideal for young and old, hosting everything from birthday parties to corporate events. The waterslides are heated in winter, so you can enjoy the Beachouse all year round.

THE SEMAPHORE WATERSLIDE COMPLEX (Semaphore)
For almost 30 years the Semaphore Waterslide has stood on the foreshore, next to the Semaphore Jetty. Over 70m in length and almost 15m in height, the waterslide is a fun and exciting ride which always draws a crowd (and isn’t for the faint-hearted). The Waterslide Complex now has other rides and attractions too, so it’s the perfect place for a big day out in summer!

MOANA BEACH (Moana)
A breezy 40-minute drive south of Adelaide’s CBD, Moana Beach is a popular holiday destination and it’s easy to see why! The beach is a local favourite as it has calm and consistent waves, which make it safe for children to swim in. You can purchase a beach pass and drive right onto the sand, so pack a picnic for the car and avoid the hassle of finding a parking spot.
