Cheap School Holiday Activities on the Northern Beaches
Want to get the kids out of the house these school holidays? Trying to find places to go and things to do? Worried about the cost of keeping them entertained? Worry no more! We’ve put together a selection of cost effective activities that will keep you and the kids smiling these April school holidays!
Get the kids out of the house and gear up for a scenic and enjoyable 10km walk over some of the North’s most beautiful coastline. The Spit to Manly walk has a safe kid friendly walking track that takes you through the bush and headland glimpsing some of the city’s most spectacular views and plant life. Whilst long, there are plenty of rest stops on the way, so we advise packing the kids lunch and stopping for a picnic along the way. An excellent way to get the kids outdoors these holidays and once you’ve reached Manly you can enjoy a beautiful swim at the beach to cool down!
Head up to Pittwater Golf Centre and spend the day tackling their mini golf courses. Take on the pirate’s course which is full of trick obstacles and twists and turns or try your luck at the caves course for an easier game. For $13 for kids and $18 for adults you can take on all 36 holes, so the afternoon will definitely not break the bank.
FLIP OUT BROOKVALE
Bounce your way right into your kids’ hearts these holidays by taking them to Flip Out trampoline centre. With trampolines covering the floor and the walls the kids can bounce around for hours and flip, fly and tumble the holidays away. With one hour sessions starting at just $14 this is a great way to entertain the kids. With a café and section for the parents to sit down and relax this place will take the hassle and energy out of watching the kids. Once you go one, you’ll be bouncing back again and again!
Located in Frenchs Forest, Wannabees is an interactive play city that enables kids to dress up and explore life in the adult world. Let your child become a doctor or a fireman or chef in this imaginative role playing world where they make the rules. Fostering a fun learning experience, Wannabees is a great place to take your kids to help exercise their minds and keep them active these holidays. There is also a 6m rock climbing wall and a laser dance stage so plenty to keep you occupied. Entry is $16 for kids and $4 for adults who are welcome to participate in the role play.
Take the kids down to Manly Beach and head to the Sea Life Sanctuary to learn about all the wonderful and exotic creatures of the deep. When you book online its $11 for children and $18 for adults, making it affordable and worthwhile. With a range of activities on offer such as penguin feeding and talks and tours on different animals, there will be plenty to do to entertain and educate the kids. Manly is also full of great spots to eat and shop so take your kids for a walk down The Corso after and treat them to an ice cream!
