Brew Your Own Beer
To all the real life Homer Simpsons out there who feel incomplete without a beer in their hand, how about taking your passion to the next level? If you’re tired of spending too much money on the same old beers it might be time to start brewing them yourself.
And before you say that you don’t want to spend money on home brewing equipment and ingredients before knowing how it all works, or that you don’t have enough room in your house for it, I am talking about “brew-on-premise” micro-breweries where you can use quality commercial brewing equipment and recipes that have already been tested.
The process is pretty much the same no matter where you go. Firstly, you choose what kind of beer you like then, using the recipe sheets provided, you measure the ingredients and add them to the kettle. Don’t worry, there is always a friendly staff member to help you out.
Brewing takes about an hour and then you transfer it to the fermenting container, where you add the yeast. The fermenting process takes at least two weeks so you need to book a date to return. The staff will then place the beer in a cold room to settle and mature before being filtered and put into carbonating kegs. On the day you return you will bottle your own beer and finally take it home.
For the love of beer! Don’t waste any more time and money and head over to one of these:
